Medical Innovation Competition
Competition Purpose and Scope
The ICMIC aims to identify and promote outstanding startups developing innovative products and services for cerebro-cardiovascular health. Entrants are nominated by co-organising institutions as winners and finalists from leading innovation programmes and competitions. The principal feature of ICMIC is the live bidding deal-making, whereby finalists present concise, timed pitches. Industry leaders and investors may then express non-binding interests in collaboration or investment. A multidisciplinary panel of judges—including Expert Review Panel: experts in scientific research, engineering, clinical medicine, regulatory affairs, and Investment Judging Panel: industry leaders and investors—provides comprehensive assessment and constructive feedback throughout the event.
Competition Pitching Session Procedure
Each finalist project will take part in a dynamic session designed to promote deal flow and knowledge exchange:

Pitch Presentation
(5 minutes)
Project teams will present their solutions and business case.

Expert Q&A
(4 minutes)
An interactive discussion with the Expert Review Panel (composed of scientific, medical, and engineering professionals), to evaluate the project’s scientific, clinical, and regulatory aspects.

Deal-Making Session
(6 minutes)
The Investment Judging Panel (composed of leading industry professionals and investors) may offer oral investment or collaboration proposals or share constructive suggestions directly with the teams. This session aims to encourage immediate connections, actionable outcomes, and valuable guidance.
After the Event:
Oral investment or collaboration proposals are encouraged to emerge during the live deal-making session. We also welcome participants and judging panel members to use a non-binding Letter of Intent (LOI) to formally record mutual interest.
Judging Panel Composition
Panellists will provide structured feedback and may express interest in future collaboration, including the potential signing of Letters of Intent (LOIs) with selected teams, subject to mutual agreement. A clear scoring rubric helps ensure a fair, transparent evaluation for all participants.
